Speech Language Pathologist
Speech Language Pathologist/diagnostician:
Location: T'siya Day School, 1000 Borrego Canyon Rd, San Ysidro, NM 87053
Schedule: 36 weeks/year, 3 day/week
Sanford federal is recruiting a Speech Language Pathologist/diagnostician to support the T'siya Day School mission. - The mission of the Speech Language Pathologist/diagnostician would be to Plan and implement therapy/evaluation services to students with all necessary referral documentation assigned by the school. These services are provided in collaboration with families and in accordance with the school’s mission and philosophy. - Maintain accurate records and write evaluation and progress reports. Document treatment progress and outcomes. Make referrals as needed. - Develop individualized treatment plans that address communication and swallowing needs. Provide therapeutic interventions to improve communication abilities. Utilize evidence-based practices. - Collaborate with families, teachers, physicians, nurses, and other professionals to ensure coordinated care. Counsel patients and families on communication disorders.
Qualifications:
- PhD/master’s degree in communication sciences and Disorders, Speech-language pathology or a related discipline.
- Licensed by the state department of education and/or health.
- Knowledge of speech disorders, language disorders, swallowing disorders, and cognitive-communication disorders
- Proven experience as a speech-language pathologist.
- Experience with children/adolescent
- Communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
